The Student Emergency Fund
Sometimes an unexpected expense - like a car repair, an injury, or family illness - can make it difficult to pay your bills, get to work, or stay on top of your coursework. The Student Emergency Fund helps students get through these temporary set-backs. It can make all the difference in getting a student over a small hurdle and on track for graduation. Over the last two years, requests for Student Emergency Fund grants have increased almost 250%, please help us ensure all students can receive assistance in their time of need.
Support a Student in Need
Donations to the Student Emergency Fund go directly to Xavier students. Typically, students receive anywhere from $100 - $500 to cover an unexpected emergency - like a flight home for a family illness or death in the family, short-term rent assistance, car repairs, or emergency room/medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Why are donations necessary?
The Student Emergency Fund provides emergency financial support to Xavier students who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an unexpected situation. This fund is an important tool to help students get over small hurdles and stay on track for success.
